British Council Ukraine is inviting heads and staff members of International Offices / Centres of Ukrainian universities to take part in the programme «International Offices: Best Practices”.
The programme is run with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and aims at professional development / capacity building of international offices in Ukrainian universities.
The programme consists of two 2-day Modules delivered in four locations – Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv. The participants are expected to attend both Modules as part of one programme.
Content of the programme:
Module 1 (September – October 2016)
- Introduction to International Office role: responsibilities, activities, structure, staffing, integration and collaboration with other units
- Developing and implementing of international strategy for International Office
- Positioning the university – communications and marketing strategies, branding, networking organisations and mechanisms
- Developing university websites and effective use of social media
Module 2 (February 2017)
- Optimisation of international student support: admission, exchange, integration on campus and in the country
- Developing international partnerships and research collaborations
- Taking advantage of and managing funding opportunities: national, international (Erasmus+, Horizon 2020), corporate, philanthropic
The programme will be delivered by senior managers of international offices of highly ranked UK universities who will share the best UK expertise in the field.
Please note that the working language of the programme is English and translation will not be provided. It is required that all participants have English language competence level B2 or above.
Eligibility criteria for the programme participants:
1. Job position as a head or staff member of International Office / Centre in Ukrainian university.
2. English language competence level B-2 or above.
Participation in the programme is free of charge. All travel expenses and accommodation costs are to be covered by participants.
